Overview
The Natural State Backyard Ultra is a high-endurance race created by Epopeo to give high school athletes a platform to challenge themselves, build discipline, and experience the mental growth that comes with ultra running.
Unity Productions Studio partnered with Epopeo to produce a cinematic event film designed to elevate the brand, document the experience, and communicate its deeper purpose — both to participants and future sponsors.
Objective
This project was designed to:
Capture the full lifecycle of the event — from preparation to final loop
Highlight the founder’s story and mission
Showcase the unique race format in an accessible way
Communicate the event’s impact, including its support of Arkansas Children’s Hospital
Create assets that can be used for future growth, sponsorships, and marketing
